Join the PRIMR22 Blog Squad!

Write about the virtual 2022 PRIM&R Annual Conference (PRIMR22) in exchange for complimentary registration by serving on the PRIMR22 Blog Squad!

This members-only volunteer opportunity is ideal for those who enjoy writing and would like to share their thoughts, reactions, and analysis with readers of Ampersand. Whether you work with IRBs, IACUCs, conflict of interest programs, or any other aspect of the research ethics and oversight field, there’s a place for you on the Blog Squad.

Those selected to join the Blog Squad will write about their conference experience and, in exchange, get to attend for free! Blog Squad members receive complimentary registration to the conference and one workshop of their choice.

How to Apply:

If you’re interested in joining the blog squad, complete the online application by September 16. In the application, you will be asked to provide a short biography, a statement of purpose, a photo of yourself to accompany your posts, and an introductory blog post.

For your introductory post, you’ll write about yourself and your experiences in the field, or about a current challenge or question you have in your day-to-day work that you hope to find answers for at PRIMR22. For more information on what a blog post should look like, check out our blogging procedure, or just browse through the Blog Squad tag on Ampersand!

All blog squad applicants will be notified whether or not they’ve been selected by September 30.

Blog Squad Responsibilities:

If selected, you will be responsible for attending the conference (online, December 12-15; optional workshops on December 6 and 8) and writing 3 posts about your experience, what you learned, or current issues in the research ethics field that you discussed. These posts will be shared with Ampersand readers throughout the next year. Some topics that past Blog Squad members have written about include secondary data use, reducing administrative burden, scientific communication, understanding FDA guidance, and more!

Visit our website for more information, or if you have any questions, feel free to contact Noah Rae-Grant, Marketing and Communications Coordinator, at nraegrant@primr.org.
